AP Students: Get Ready for Your Exam
AP testing takes place during the month of May. Hereβs what to do before, during, and after your AP exam.
π BEFORE AP Exam Day: Get Ready
- Double-check your College Board account to make sure you're registered for all the AP exams you plan to take.
- If your exam is Hybrid or Digital (most exams), check that the Bluebook App has been added to your Chromebook.
- Explore the Bluebook App so you're familiar with the features. Make sure you know how to log in β you cannot use your phone to reset your password during testing.

π AP Exam Day Guide: What to Bring (and What to Leave Behind)
π Exam Check-In Times
- Morning Exams: Check-in at 7:30 AM
- Afternoon Exams: Check-in at 11:30 AM
π« Late arrivals will not be admitted.

There are no make-up exams and no refunds.
β What to Bring for Your AP Exams
π For ALL Exams:
- β° A watch (must not beep or have smart features)
- π Student ID β required for check-in
- π· Masks or sanitizer if needed (sanitizer under desk)
π» Fully Digital AP Exams (Bluebook):
- π Fully charged school Chromebook with Bluebook installed
- π College Board login memorized
- βοΈ Pen or pencil for scratch notes
- π± Up to 2 approved calculators (if required)
π»βοΈ Hybrid Digital Exams (Paper + Digital Mix):
- Everything above, PLUS:
- βοΈ 2 No. 2 pencils
- ποΈ 2 blue/black ink pens
- π Ruler (Physics only)
π Paper Exams Only:
- βοΈ 2 No. 2 pencils
- ποΈ 2 pens (blue/black)
Special Items

π« What NOT to Bring
These items are strictly prohibited and may result in score cancellation:
- Phones, smartwatches, AirPods
- Styluses or digital pens
- Books, notebooks, highlighters
- Mechanical pencils or colored pencils
- Scratch paper (school will provide)
- Food or drinks
- Hats/hoods (except religious/medical)
- Headphones or earplugs
- Clipboards or external monitors
β Only College Boardβapproved SSD accommodations may alter what you can bring.
β Important Reminders
- No early dismissals β AP exams take about 4 hours.
- Inform coaches/employers ahead of time β AP testing takes priority.
- All misconduct will be reported and may cancel scores.

- Sleep well and eat a good breakfast.
- Bring a clear water bottle and sweater.
- Stay confident β you've got this!
π AFTER AP Exam Day
π« What NOT to Do After Your Exam:
- β Do NOT discuss multiple-choice questions β ever.
- β Do NOT post anything online related to the exam.
- β Do NOT take photos in the testing room.
- β Do NOT leave early without permission.
- β Do NOT share details with students who test later.
β Instead, Do This:
- Relax β you did it!
- Stay humble β no oversharing.
- Rest up if you have more exams.
- Check with teachers if youβre unsure whatβs allowed.
Your AP scores are valuable β protect them by following all rules.
