- Policies:
- Tardy: 1–29 minutes late (K code)
- 30+ minutes late = Unexcused absence
- A code becomes U code if not excused within 1 week
- 3 unexcused OR 5 excused = truancy letter
- After 14 illness absences → doctor’s note required
- SART/SARB: SART builds a school support plan. SARB is a district-level intervention when attendance does not improve. Chronic absence = 10% of school days missed.

Stay Connected and Informed
- Set up your Aeries Parent Account: Access grades, attendance, and student information through our Aeries Parent Portal.
- Stay informed through ParentSquare: Make sure you are receiving school notifications by visiting ParentSquare.
- Complete Your Data Confirmation: You will need an Aeries account to complete this process. Follow the steps outlined on this Data Confirmation Flyer.
Attendance
To report an absence, please call (714) 567-4932 or email Santa Ana High School.attendance@sausdlearns.net. Include your student’s first and last name, student ID/lunch number, and reason for absence. Acceptable reasons include illness, medical appointments, personal necessity (family emergency), or bereavement for immediate family members.
